ONV Hybrid 01 – Box and panel elements

ONV has built in timber for 25 years often using prefabricated timber modules.

The time has come to optimize for the benefit of clients, residents, and the green transition.

We therefore propose a hybrid building concept combining the optimized timber module and the flat element, utilizing the strengths of both components.

The concept consists of three building parts:

– Room-sized timber modules, fully completed at the factory, serving as load-bearing elements in the buildings structural shell.

-“Heavy” newly developed timber floor elements.

– Storey-high façade and wall elements in timber.

The buildings surface and roof form are optional and can be adapted to the site.

We can establish daylight-filled and flexible housing layouts in varying sizes.

Box Module

We use room-sized timber modules, fully completed at the factory, as load-bearing elements in the buildings structural shell.

The timber module contains two kitchens and two bathrooms, as well as a technical room with access from the stair landing.

In addition, stair flights with elevator shaft are installed. The elevator itself is installed on site.

Newly Developed Floor Element

We propose a newly developed timber floor element with integrated weight, for sound reduction, from the factory.

The floor is constructed of load-bearing timber beams with a visible underside (20% rule), finished with plywood or chipboard.

Joints are taped, and the floor can be used during the construction phase, later the final flooring is laid.

Storey-High Facade and Wall Element

We use storey-high facade elements, mounted on the floor edges, with lengths adjusted to the apartment layout widths of 4, 5, 6, and 7 meters.

They are produced as multiples of 1 meter, as shown.

The element is intended to be delivered fully finished both inside and outside.

Load-bearing apartment partition walls are likewise executed in storey-high flat elements.
